Janelle Brown admires sister wife Christine’s relationship and why it affirms her desire to stay single.
“I just consider myself single. I don’t consider myself divorced or separated or whatever. I just think I’m single,” Janelle Brown tells People following her split from Cody Brown. Janelle Brown is embracing her single status. The Sister Wives star tells People that she doesn’t consider herself to be divorced following her split from ex Cody Brown, explaining, “I don’t consider myself divorced or separated or whatever. I just think I’m single.”
Her friend and former sister wife Christine Brown recalls a conversation they had while camping with her husband David Woolly, which affirmed Janelle’s desire to stay unattached for now. “I remember you came over to the campfire and we were making food and stuff, and you’re like, ‘Oh, you’ve got someone who really helps,'” she reminds Janelle. “Because David does everything, he’s super helpful. And you were like, ‘He really does everything, he does so much,'” Christine adds.
Janelle referred to her and Woolly as a real team but made it clear she wasn’t yet looking for that type of partnership. She recalls Janelle saying, “I don’t need this, I don’t want this actually,” adding, “I don’t need another person. You do. This is for you, but this is not for me. It’s not what I want. No, not at this stage. Yeah, not at this stage,” Janelle clarifies.
For now, Janelle is embracing freedom following her split from Cody. “I feel like I can choose now,” she says. “My youngest has graduated from high school. I now have an exciting professional life and I have all these kids. I have grandkids and I just want to explore this part of my life.” She adds, “I think it seems extremely complicated to date. It seems extremely complicated. Plus, oh, I don’t know. No, no, I was married for 30 years. I’m ready now to do something else, you know what I mean? So I’m sometimes a little lonely at night, but it’s okay. It’s okay. I’ll survive.”
However, Janelle believes she may be ready for a partnership in 10 years and she isn’t shutting the door on polygamy. “I would actually consider a plural marriage because I really do love the freedom and the independence that it gave me and I think it was a good fit for me,” she explains. “I don’t even know what it would be like to be married in a monogamous relationship. If that’s what works out, great,” she affirms. “So I’m open to plural marriage but I don’t know if there’s really a lot of men who can actually pull it off.”
Robin Brown is far from the fan favorite today, if the online comments from viewers are any indication. So one might expect her to attempt some damage control. Social media would allow Robin access to millions of Sister Wives fans, so she could start that long journey back by posting something positive. But no, instead this recently discovered message felt rather attacking to the people who got a look at it. Robin wasn’t following that adage suggesting you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Where she placed this message also seemed very odd to the viewers of the show as well.
Robin Brown posted an ordinary message to her Sister Wives fans where most people do. She put it in a place where you wouldn’t just stumble upon it. Robin Brown put this go-away-like warning in the biography section of her page. Robin wrote, “Followers, go find purpose in your own life and stop wasting your precious time with mine.” Ouch, that sounds like it had a bite to it. Of course, Robin remains as the only Sister Wives wife as the other three jumped ship in the last couple of years. So she’s left all alone with Cody Brown, who still openly mourns his three divorces.
Even though her co-wives no longer share Robin’s husband, she’s still hearing all about them from her Cody as he nurses his wounds. During the last season, TLC seemed to take away the heavy editing they used through the years. Many things that Robin Brown said or did weren’t edited and it played out on the screen. Sister Wives fans hopped online to thank TLC for easing up on the editing and showing Robin Brown as she really is. As the post below indicates, they were happy to see the real deal. But even though Robin has a decade of ducking the mudslinging as Cody Brown, it still has to sting now that TLC peeled back a few more layers of Robin. The floodgates busted wide open for fan comments.
It seems that the other Sister Wives ladies learned a long time ago that it doesn’t pay to post too many replies to critics. But after this foreboding blurb Robin squeezed into her biography section, some fans think she’s asking for it. Then some fans jumped online to remind her that she sits in the lap of luxury today because people paid attention to her life. Others made sure to remind her that she opened her door for the public to come in. Now she’s telling fans not to pay attention to her life and to mind their own business.
Anyway, Robin Brown ruffled some feathers. She’s now known as the reality star who tells the Sister Wives fans to keep out of her business. Plus, fans also reminded her that they wouldn’t know all their dirty laundry if they didn’t dump it out for them season after season of this TLC show.
