Today’s Very Sad😭News !!: Who Will Be The First Sister Wife To Leave The Show? (The Series Is Changing)

Sister Wives season 19 is coming soon, and with each of Kody Brown’s wives’ lives changing, which of his current and former spouses will be the first to leave the long-running series? Throughout the run of Sister Wives, the marriages between Kody and his wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown, have all been precarious in moments. After over three decades together, Christine was the first to leave Kody during Sister Wives season 17, having felt ready to exit her relationship with the patriarch for quite some time. Finding herself independent and free, Christine was finally happy.

Sister Wives: The Ages Of Kody & His Wives

Throughout Sister Wives season 18, viewers watched as Meri and Janelle took their marriages into their own hands, separating from Kody. While Meri was hurt by Kody’s perception of their marriage, it pushed her to understand that her relationship as she’d known it was effectively over, and made her want to move forward. Janelle and Kody’s difficult argument in one of the early episodes of Sister Wives season 18 pushed the longtime couple apart, and they never managed to bring their spark back. With both marriages dissolving, Kody was left with Robyn, and things could change quickly for Sister Wives.

Although Robyn has shared that her time on Sister Wives has been difficult, the last remaining wife in the Brown family would only find herself leaving if Kody does. Robyn’s journey on Sister Wives has spanned nearly the whole duration of her relationship with Kody, beginning when the pair were still only courting and documenting their wedding, as well as her acceptance into the family. With the family relying on the income from Sister Wives and her marriage to Kody being monogamous now that she’s the only wife he has, Robyn’s role on the show is more important than ever.

Christine Brown Enjoys Sister Wives Too Much To Leave

Christine, who was Kody’s third wife, had a difficult time with the way that her marriage was impacted when Robyn joined the family. As a part of the trio of wives Kody had been with for 30 years, her time on Sister Wives started with her jealousy of the way Robyn was being treated seeping into her relationship with Kody’s new wife. Though Kody swore he was treating his wives in the same way, he wasn’t dedicating the same amount of time to Christine, Janelle, or Meri that he was to Robyn. Christine had a hard time with Kody’s priorities.

Christine’s journey on Sister Wives morphed from her reaction to the way Kody was treating their marriage to a look at how she felt being in a plural marriage, and things have shifted for her considerably through the years.

While Christine was the first of Kody’s wives to leave the Brown family as a unit, taking a step away from plural marriage and the beliefs it’s associated with, she wouldn’t be likely to leave the series itself. While Christine has her issues with the family, her time on reality TV has been too inspirational to others for her to leave.

After the issues between Janelle and Kody escalated to a place she felt they couldn’t be fixed, the Sister Wives star explained that she wasn’t interested in being married anymore.

Dealing with her own emotions, Janelle didn’t have the space to deal with the way Kody felt, instead focusing on her children and grandchildren.

Though morally she would be more likely to leave Sister Wives, it’s not something Janelle would likely want to do financially. With the paycheck she earns on the series as well as the exposure she gets for her business funding her life, Janelle’s likely to stay.

Meri Brown Is The Most Likely To Leave Sister Wives First

She Can Venture Out On Her Own

While Meri likely gets the most out of Sister Wives in terms of viewer interest in her businesses, she’s also the most likely to leave the series unprompted, and ahead of everyone else on the show.

Meri’s marriage to Kody was incredibly difficult for her by the end, and the way that their relationship ended was tough on Meri, Kody, and Robyn in different measures.

While Meri wanted to make her marriage to Kody work, she didn’t want to be in a loveless relationship. She tried to be diplomatic about deciding to leave Kody, but things got tough for everyone.

Meri’s time on Sister Wives after her divorce from Kody will prove to be strange, especially since she appears to have fully relocated to Utah.

Moving away from Kody, Robyn, and their children will be a major shift for Meri, and her time on the show will be limited to whatever she allows the crew to film of her life at home, and whatever time she winds up spending back in Arizona with the rest of her estranged family.

Meri leaving Sister Wives makes the most sense, as she has very few ties to the Brown family after her divorce.
