The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal the family members-turned-business partners filed a business license with the North Carolina Secretary of State office for Taeda Farms on March 26, 2024.

An office for the business is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, while Madison and Caleb’s North Carolina home is also listed.

NEW PROPERTY

The U.S. Sun can confirm Janelle, Madison and Caleb purchased 156.4 acres of land for $289,000 on April 1, 2024 in Chocowinity, North Carolina.

According to real estate records, no improvements to the land have been made.

Janelle announced the business venture on Instagram Sunday, as she captioned a photo with her daughter and son-in-law, “I am beyond excited to finally share our passion project with you—TAEDA FARMS!

“We’d love to invite you to come along on this wild, messy, and beautiful journey as we build Taeda Farms from the ground up. It’s definitely not always glamorous—there’s plenty of sweat, dirt, and learning along the way—but every single step is getting us closer to something truly special. We’re turning hard work and heart into something beautiful, and we want you to be a part of it all!

“Follow us on social media @taedafarms, and join us as we grow—one bloom at a time. If you’d like to support us as we get started, we have some t-shirts with our brand motto, ‘building beauty from the ground up.’ We poured a lot of thought into them, and they represent everything this journey means to us.”

Janelle revealed the name of the farm comes from the Latin word for Loblolly Pine.

“In Latin, Taeda primarily means ‘torch’ or ‘pinewood used for torches.’ It was often used in context of torches for ceremonies, such as weddings, where it symbolized light, warmth, and unity,” she wrote.

According to the website, Janelle’s role at the farm is “flower smeller – grass grower.”

“Janelle is our farm’s resident dreamer, planner, and future flower whisperer. Though not a single bloom has sprouted yet, she’s already picking flowers in her mind and making friends with anyone who’ll listen to her vision (trust me, she’ll get you excited about it too).

“She’s the one mapping out our flower fields and making sure every petal has a fellow friend close by. If you bump into her, be prepared to leave with gardening advice, flower dreams, and maybe a new best friend,” the website reads.

Janelle is known for her green thumb, as she has posted her flowers, vegetables, herbs and more on social media through the years.

She also planned to build a greenhouse on the family’s property Coyote Pass.

Madison works as the company’s project executive, while Caleb is the farm’s fixer-upper.

COYOTE PASS

Janelle continues to own her portion of Coyote Pass in Flagstaff, Arizona with her ex-husband Kody.

Kody purchased four parcels of land called Coyote Pass in Flagstaff, Arizona for $820,000 in 2018 when the family moved from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Browns planned to build five homes on the property for wives Meri, 53, Janelle, Christine, 52, and Robyn, 45, including a separate home for himself.

The family seemed to have been moving forward with the plan, as The U.S. Sun previously reported Kody and Janelle paid off the plot of land in their name on June 2, 2023, and an additional plot in Robyn’s name was purchased for $170,000 each.

FAMILY BREAKDOWN

Kody has separated from three of his four wives in recent years.

Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021.

Christine signed over the parcel in her name to Kody and Robyn for just $10 on July 28, 2022.

Then, Janelle and Kody announced their split on Sister Wives: One on One in January 2023.

Janelle said on the special: “Kody and I have separated and I’m happy, really happy.

“I don’t know, things just really became sort of indifferent, like I just didn’t care anymore.

“I’ve kind of mourned that that part of our life is gone. I wasn’t heartbroken. It wasn’t heartbreaking for me like it was for Christine.

“It was just kind of like, I just mourned that that life was gone… We had this great run.”

On the series, the couple also fought over Kody living primarily with Robyn, as well as his feud with their sons.

Kody’s first wife Meri announcing her split from Kody soon followed, as they had been having marital troubles for years.

Kody still remains legally married to Robyn today.

He shares 18 children with Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn.

The two have not filed permits to begin building on Coyote Pass despite listing their $1.6million marital home on the market in August.

Season 19 of Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
