Kody Brown appears interested in flipping the narrative for season 19 of Sister Wives. It’s impossible to know Kody Brown’s true intentions, but it seems that the father of 18 doesn’t want to be seen as a villain any longer. Instead, it appears that he’d like to be seen as a victim.
At the very least, that’s what Kody sees himself as. In a recently released Sister Wives trailer, Kody suggests he was the member of the family who had been betrayed. Sister Wives fans are not amused.
A new ‘Sister Wives’ trailer shows Kody Brown trying to paint himself as the Brown family victim
Kody Brown established himself as the villain of the Brown family years ago. It doesn’t seem like he’s interested in keeping the role for yet another seaso.
In the latest trailer for the upcoming season, Kody tells his fourth and now only wife, Robyn Brown, that they “betrayed” him.
While TLC opted to show just a snippet of the conversation in the latest promo, it’s probable that the former polygamist is talking about his three ex-wives.
The wording is pretty loaded, especially for fans who have long insisted the Brown family patriarch abandoned and betrayed his first three wives and the children he shares with them in favor of his fourth wife and the family they’ve created. Kody’s wording seems pretty purposeful, too.
The father of 18 is likely trying to flip the script, making himself look beleaguered and hurt to garner sympathy. It is still unclear if he’s looking for sympathy from viewers or just Robyn Brown.
While Kody and Robyn’s marriage appears to be a bit rocky, based on recent promos for the upcoming season, we doubt the duo will actually be parting ways.
What will season 19 focus on?
Sister Wives season 19 won’t premiere for a few more weeks, but TLC is providing plenty of information to fans ahead of the season premiere.
The network released a synopsis for the upcoming season along with the two promos. The synopsis suggests that while the Brown family is broken up, they still have some issues to work out.
The biggest problem is the division of Coyote Pass, the land they bought as a group back in 2018.
In the upcoming season, fans will see Janelle not take no for an answer when it comes to the property. In a previous Sister Wives trailer, she threatens to “lawyer up” to battle with her former spiritual husband over the land.
Meri Brown also raised concerns about Coyote Pass and the equality of a previous division of the acreage. Meri’s move to Utah and her decision to seek a spiritual divorce from the church will be covered.
Christine’s developing romance and the tragic passing of Garrison Brown will all be addressed in the upcoming season.
