Update News: Robyn & Kody Brown Break Silence On Where They Are Now
After the tumultuous interactions in the recent Sister Wives specials, many points of pain came to light for each of the Browns. During the two-part Talk Back episodes, they each revisited the first and last episodes of Season 18 and gave their recollection of the scenes.
Then fans were treated to an additional, two-part Look Back that had Kody and the wives reflect on instrumental events from the past and review how they remember the events. In the aftermath, now the only two in the Brown marriage, Robyn and Kody, are discussing where things are presently.
The Brown Family Confronts Issues
Without a doubt, the added Sister Wives specials aired many issues for the former wives as well as Robyn and Kody Brown. In the episodes, each was face to face with seeing how other family members thought and reacted to certain situations.
Although there were moments of apparent blindsides for them, they also untangled some of the mess. In many ways, the filming was enlightening and possibly even therapeutic for the family.
Even so, the family wasn’t directly interacting with each other so once the episodes were filmed, the family still had many areas that needed repair.
Robyn And Kody Brown Talk About Life Now
In an exclusive interview with People, Robyn and Kody Brown discussed where things are now. While Kody’s anger reached an astronomical level during the last season, he seems to be finding new peace. “I think it’s time,” Kody shared as he worked on replenishing his confidence.
“Just healing in time and getting to a point where you feel forgiveness towards somebody who’s just said bad things about you. It’s just moving.”
Additionally, Kody said, “What will move us forward will be the grace, the love, and the forgiveness. The same grace and love that we were giving each other 10 years ago as we’re going through this very difficult process.”
He also reflected that “10 years ago” the Sister Wives‘ relationships were struggling. But, despite that, he and his wives were able to work “together with a lot of charity.”
Then he recalled, “Just like, ‘Hey, listen. We all have faults. Let’s just not point them out. Let’s just give everybody a lot of charity, a lot of grace.’
We’ve just gone through a period where we weren’t doing that.” Admittedly, Kody cathartically said, “I think that just moving forward with that is going to be so healing.” And he added, “I feel like it’s just beginning now, but it’s been a process.”
Although his faith remains intact, he expresses he is also working on rebuilding his relationship with God. In many ways, he seems to be proceeding through the stages of grief in the loss of his plural marriages.
Robyn Shares Her View On Kody Brown Since Leaving Polygamy
On the other hand, Robyn Brown spoke with People separately and gave her view of how the relationship is going after the exit of plural marriage.
While speaking about Kody Brown, she said, “I do see the man that I married from time to time.” She continues, “And I see him more as he processes more, and I just know this is a temporary situation where he’s just dealing with a lot.” Admittedly, she shared, “And he’s got a lot of the emotions and anger and frustration. So yeah, that’s pretty much what it is.”
