Sister Wives’ Kody And Robyn’s Marriage Could Be Over Soon Due To Shocking Reason
The Brown family has been through more drama than a daytime soap, and now it looks like the last wife standing might be heading for the exit too. Sister Wives star Robyn Brown, once thought to be Kody’s ride-or-die, could be rethinking her commitment as their marriage hits a serious rough patch.
Kody, once the proud husband of four wives, has seen his family unravel faster than you can say “polygamy.” Janelle, Christine, and Meri have all walked out, leaving Kody with just Robyn by his side—or so we thought. The show, which turned the Brown family into reality TV royalty, has chronicled their unconventional life for over a decade, but the latest season trailer suggests that Robyn might be the next one to bail.
In the newly released Season 19 trailer, we get a front-row seat to the tension between Kody, 55, and Robyn, 45. Things aren’t looking good for the pair, who have been together for 14 years. Robyn’s raw confession to the camera says it all: “I feel like the idiot that got left behind.”
Sources Say Robyn Is Unhappier Than Ever In Their Marriage
And it’s not just Robyn who’s feeling the strain. A source with insider knowledge of the TLC family spilled the tea to The U.S. Sun, revealing that the cracks in Kody and Robyn’s relationship are deepening by the day.
“Robyn and Kody are not doing well. They’ve been very unhappy. I mean, they’ve been unhappy since everything fell apart, but even more so now, it’s getting worse,” the source dished.
So, what’s driving this once-solid marriage to the brink? It turns out Kody’s attitude has taken a serious turn for the worse. The insider claims, “He’s just really mad at the world right now. He’s not who he used to be at all. He’s completely changed. He’s angry and he’s volatile, and he doesn’t like anybody that’s not worshiping him.”
Talk about a fall from grace. Kody’s transformation from family man to tyrant has reportedly pushed Robyn into a submissive role, a far cry from the vibrant woman she once was. The source explains that Kody’s “very controlling,” leading Robyn to retreat from her social life. Gone are the days when she’d chat with friends for hours—now, she’s stuck under Kody’s thumb.
Robyn Says She’s Losing Respect For Kody
The trailer also gives us a glimpse of just how bad things have gotten. In a tense scene, Robyn and Kody argue in the snow, with Robyn on the verge of tears. “I’m having a hard time feeling like [I’m] losing respect for you,” she tells him, her voice cracking.
Kody, in classic Kody fashion, snaps back, “Robyn, I can’t even get it straight with you right now!”
Their once-loving relationship is now so strained that the source even compared Kody to Robyn’s ex-husband, David Preston Jessop—a man she left due to his abusive behavior. The insider didn’t hold back, saying, “Kody is turning into a mirror image of David. She took her kids away from him and took his parental control away. You think she’s going to stick around for this? No.”
And if you think Robyn is sticking around just for the sake of it, think again. According to the source, “Robyn is not committed to staying if things don’t change. That’s just what it has come down to. Their marriage is not going to sustain this kind of control.”
Robyn’s first priority has always been her kids, and she’s made it clear she won’t let them grow up in the same toxic environment she escaped years ago.
Robyn’s marriage to David, who’s currently battling Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, ended in 2007, but they share three children together—Dayton, 24, Aurora, 22, and Breanna, 19. When Robyn married Kody in 2014, he adopted her kids, and the couple went on to have two more children of their own: Solomon, 12, and Ariella, 8. With young kids at home and financial ties to Kody, leaving might not be easy, but if things don’t change, it could be her only option.
With three wives already gone and Robyn on the brink, it looks like the Brown family’s reality TV reign could be nearing its end. The question is, will Robyn be the last one to turn off the lights?
