Update News: The Dramatic Twists That Will Unfold in Season 19.

Sister Wives' season 19 will be 'dark' after Garrison Brown's suicide as filming will focus on family's 'guilt' | The US Sun

Christine And New Husband David

Beyond Robyn and Kody’s relationship, fans can expect to see even more emotional moments among some of the show’s other cast members.

Much of the drama will come in the form of Kody’s ex-wives, who have since moved on in their own ways.

Christine, for instance, will be shown in her relationship with partner David Woolley, following how the two began dating and ultimately made their way to the altar. The pair officially tied the knot in October of 2023, following their engagement announcement earlier that same year.

Prior to dating David, Christine separated from Kody back in 2021. At the time, she had spoken about the lack of intimacy she felt in the marriage, and that she was unsatisfied and in search of a better, more equal partnership.

It seems that she’s found this kind of love the second time around in David, who she noted in an Instagram caption is “The love of [her] life.”

What’s more, when Christine left Kody, she also announced to fans that she was no longer interested in polygamy. “I will be a monogamist from here on out,” she proclaimed to

Meri’s New Solo Life

Among Kody’s other exes is Meri, who will surely also get her own screentime in the new season. Meri was Kody’s first wife who was also the first to split from him in 2014.

Fans of the show will recall that, at the time, Meri’s divorce from Kody was done as a strategic legal move to allow Kody to marry fourth wife Robyn.

Initially, Kody and Meri remained “spiritually married” to one another, and it wasn’t until much later in 2023 that Meri announced she and Kody were officially over. Since then, viewers have noticed that Meri seems particularly absent from the other wives’ lives, as if her step back from Kody has been a step back from everyone else as well.

While she wasn’t at Christine’s wedding to David, Meri has confirmed that she will be returning in Season 19 of Sister Wives.

Perhaps fans will get a glimpse of Meri’s life as a newly single woman and her journey back into the dating pool, something she’s hinted at before.

A Tribute to Garrison

In what will surely make for the saddest moments of the season, the show will touch on the passing of Garrison, Kody’s son with ex Janelle. Garrison was 25 when he died by suicide as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Apparently Garrison had been struggling with mental health issues for some time, and a concerning text he sent out prior to his death prompted Janelle to check in on her son. Unfortunately by the time Garrison was discovered, it was too late.

In a heartbreaking tribute, Janelle posted some kind words about her late son on her Instagram account:

Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.

His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.

So far, Robyn has remained quiet about Garrison’s death. It seems her true feelings about the matter will only be revealed once Season 19 finally airs.
