Behind the Scenes With Maurice Benard and Michael Easton
To get the word out, Maurice posted a short clip on Instagram right after their conversation. The General Hospital star began, “This is State of Mind, I just did an interview with Michael Easton.
” Then he took a pause, shaking his head as Easton placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. “I cried at the end,” Benard confessed while Easton smiled, adding, “So did I.” Moreover, Maurice continued, “He was just… wait ’til you see this interview, I’m not joking. Wait ’til you see it.”
Then, he thanked his viewers and Easton before admitting, “I’m still emotional.” In this episode, Michael will touch upon his extensive acting career.
His filmography includes roles in Days of Our Lives and One Life to Live, and his various characters on GH.
But State of Mind is popular for going beyond the surface. Who knows, there might be some personal stories and emotional discussions as Benard digs deep.
By the way, Michael Easton has been part of the ABC soap opera family since 2001. His first stint on daytime TV was as Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives from 1991-92.
However, his big break came when he portrayed the vampire Caleb Morley on the General Hospital spinoff Port Charles from 2001-03. Back in 2012, the ex-GH actor brought his One Life to Live character, John McBain, to the ABC soap.
Due to legal issues, he then came back as Silas Clay, the brother of his Port Charles character Stephen Clay. When Silas was killed off in 2015, Easton returned in 2016 as Dr. Hamilton Finn, a role he continued to embrace until recently.
Finally, his final scenes on GH, which aired on June 27, were deeply emotional, leaving fans in tears. Furthermore, Benard’s YouTube series is well known for its heartfelt and raw conversations.
So, this episode promises to do just that and be no different. With Easton’s rich history in soaps and the strong connection between them, it’s set to be an emotional and compelling watch.
