The actress made her remarks in the comments section of a Soap Hub post on Instagram. In the post, Greg Vaughan talked about working with Kelly in the past.
When some critics made some disparaging remarks about her, Kelly shot back with, “‘No primary role’… do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired (as Drew in 2019), Sam’s storyline stopped.”
“Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build.”

So far Kelly herself has not made any additional comments about the matter just yet.
Now, whether or not Kelly Monaco will ever return to the world of daytime television remains to be seen. While it seems very unlikely, her fans are hoping that she makes the switch to primetime television instead.
