Because it’s not an everyday thing that happens or I mean, it’s starting to be, but there’s still hesitation within it, (so) it needs to be told. It’s a story that needs to be represented right.”
Needless to say, a lot of General Hospital fans have taken to social media to remind the actress that the daytime television world has seen plenty of interracial couples and even way before her time.
Some of them commented with, “What is she talking about? Interracial couples have been featured on soaps for decades. Even if she did not know the history of interracial couples on soaps, she should at least be able to recognize current couples like TJ and Molly.
And that’s not even taking into account the various interracial couples on the other soaps. Trina and Spencer are not a groundbreaking couple.”
