General Hospital reveals shocking storyline: Kristina is becoming the new Sonny on the soap.

Is Kristina turning to another version of her father, Sonny? That’s what a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder but luckily actress Kate Mansi, who plays the character on the hit ABC soap, breaks it down for fans. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Kristina Turning Into Sonny?

In a new interview with Woman’s World, Kate opened up about her character’s baby loss and how Kristina might even be tapping into her inner Sonny Corinthos. But that’s not such a bad thing, now is it?

The stunning brunette beauty put it this way, “Kristina not only lost her baby, but almost lost her own life, fell out of a five-story freaking window, and almost went to jail.

So my fiancé, my friends, my family, everybody knows: Don’t ask me or talk to me about anything until I can come up for air.

I scale back on my social plans during these times and use my weekends to gather my energy so I can go back in for battle, essentially.”

And while there’s no doubt that every family has their issues, Kate says that Kristina and her sister Molly are definitely going through some hardships now like they’ve never gone through before.

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Kristina?

She explained, “The power of this character is through this chaotic, dysfunctional, but fiercely loyal and loving family.

What I love about this story is you have two daughters who are exactly like their parents. Kristina is her father’s daughter. Molly is her mother’s daughter. To see how that is played out is interesting!”

But whether or not Kristina is turning into one of her parents, Kate says, “It’s a real joy to watch the way this storyline is bringing out the best in all of us.

We’ve seen such phenomenal work from Nancy [Lee Grahn, Alexis] throughout this, and from Mo (Benard, who plays Sonny), too.

And it’s such a tribute to the writers that some scenes have just taken us by storm because they’re so beautifully written.”

General Hospital airs weekdays on the ABC network. Check your local listings for times.
