Sister Wives actress Mary Brown eventually divorced Cody Brown after 32 years of marriage, yet she still stands by her former sister wife, Robin Brown.
Cody’s first wife, Mary, and he had a single kid together in 1990. Mary and Cody tied the knot in front of their loved ones, the congregation, and the Mormon church.
At the time, Mary was really romantic and youthful; she thought she would be in love with her young spouse for eternity. Sadly, young hopes are sometimes dashed by reality, and Mary experienced this. The setbacks occurred early.
Having been raised in a polygamous household with several siblings, Mary desired a similar dynamic in her marriage. Regretfully, the Sister Wives season 18 cast member struggled with conception. That is when she and Cody made the decision to allow other women into their marriage.
In 1993, Cody wed Janelle Brown, and in 1994, he married Christine Brown. Before Cody married Robin Brown, his fourth wife, in 2010, he would have to wait another 16 years.
For the Brown family, it was the beginning of the end. It was obvious from a distance that Cody and Robin’s marriage would not be like his previous three.
He gradually began to spend less time with his prior wives and their kids and more time with Robin and her kids.
In 2014, Cody formally divorced Mary and wed Robin in order to adopt Robin’s three children from her prior marriage. Rather than acknowledging Mary’s agonizing offering, Cody continued to show more disregard than ever for his solitary first wife. Mary recently had an appearance on the Misunderstood podcast in June.
The episode aired on YouTube, and she shared her experience on Instagram. In the course of a more than hour-long conversation, Mary spoke about how many people believe Robin is to blame for the breakup of the Brown family.
Mary argued that before Robin entered the scene, Cody’s marriages were in peril.
It is not surprising that Mary continues to stand up for Robin because she is accustomed to being taken advantage of by Cody and his fourth wife.
Mary informed Sister Wives viewers in the interview that Cody and Robin were first acquainted by her.
Robin and she had become friends when she had first met her.
Mary introduced her to Cody because she knew they were being asked to welcome Robin into their family. Mary and Robin remained close even after the family began to disintegrate.
Though it’s unknown if Mary and Robin ever communicate, Mary still plans to shield her former sister wife from criticism. They remain relatives, after all.
Some fans of Sister Wives season 19 are disappointed by recent revelations. It has been disclosed that there will be sequences in which Christine dates David Wooy in this season. Soon after splitting from Cody in 2021, Christine met David, and the two just tied the knot in a lavish ceremony that was shown on television. The fact that Sister Wives production is so far behind reality disappoints viewers who feel as though they have already watched Christine and David’s wedding.
