Gio looks to be paired with Spencer’s true love, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) whose eyes practically fell out of her head the first time she laid eyes on the handsome hunk.

In a highly publicized move, Chavez left GH to film the upcoming Ryan Murphy series Monster. Chavez plays one of two brothers, Lyle Menendez, who are now imprisoned for murdering their millionaire Beverly Hills parents.
Fans last saw Chavez in January. That’s when Spencer battled with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) on a boat and both fell overboard, presumed dead.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez was a fan favorite there’s no doubt about that. But a couple of things indicated that he was truly gone. First, his name was taken off the GH credits, and second, he unfollowed all of his co-stars on social media.
That doesn’t mean the actor wouldn’t have a change of heart. Plenty of soap studs have left the genre for brighter lights, but a significant number return in the end.

Chavez debuted as a recast Spencer in 2021. Spencer is the son of Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and the late Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis).
Chavez impressed viewers with his sensitive portrayal of the troubled teen and he won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Young Performer in a Drama Series in 2022.
